Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what data is involved when you use Term Conn Vault, how it is stored, and when it may be transmitted.
The app is an SSH/SFTP client with optional encrypted vault sync. SSH traffic goes directly between your device and the servers you connect to — we do not proxy terminal sessions.
What Data Is Processed
- On your device: hosts, SSH keys, credentials, terminal settings, snippets, folders, tags, and other vault data. Sensitive fields are encrypted locally before sync.
- Term Conn Vault cloud (if you sign in via Telegram and enable sync): account identifiers needed for authentication, registered devices, and an encrypted vault blob. We cannot read the contents of your vault — only you hold the vault sync password.
- Audit log (optional): metadata about sync and account actions (timestamps, device id, action type) — not SSH session content or remote server data.
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Storage and Encryption
Vault data is encrypted on your device with your vault sync password (Argon2id + AES-GCM) before upload. The server stores only the opaque encrypted blob.
Telegram login is used for account identity only. It is separate from the vault sync password that protects your hosts and keys.
SSH connections are established directly from your device to your servers. Private keys and passwords are not sent to us in plaintext.
Third-Party Services
Telegram is used for sign-in (OIDC). Their privacy policy applies to that flow. App stores and operating systems may collect data independently of Term Conn Vault.
Security
We apply technical measures to protect account and sync infrastructure. Keep the app updated, use a strong vault sync password, and enable device lock or biometrics where available.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page and takes effect upon posting.
