Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Term Conn Vault (the "App"), this website, and related vault sync services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Client source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0 (upstream sshvault); use of Term Conn Vault cloud sync is also governed by these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Term Conn Vault is an SSH/SFTP client with optional encrypted vault sync, including:

  • SSH terminal sessions and SFTP file management;
  • host, key, folder, tag, and snippet management on your device;
  • optional vault sync through a Term Conn Vault account (Telegram sign-in) with zero-knowledge encryption;
  • device registration and audit log metadata on our servers.

SSH connections are made directly from your device to servers you configure. We do not operate or proxy your remote servers.

3. Software License

Client source code is provided under AGPL-3.0. You may use and modify it subject to AGPL requirements. You may not use the Term Conn Vault name or branding to promote derivative products without permission.

4. Account and Vault Sync

  • Vault sync requires Telegram sign-in and a vault sync password you choose. We cannot recover your vault password or decrypt your blob.
  • Only an encrypted blob is stored on our servers; we do not read vault contents.
  • We do not sell user data or share it with third parties for advertising.
  • We may restrict or terminate cloud access for violations, abuse, or legal requirements.
  • You may stop using sync at any time; account data deletion is available on request via the contact below.

5. User Responsibilities

  • Use the App lawfully; connect only to servers you are authorized to access.
  • Do not interfere with our infrastructure, bypass access controls, or abuse sync APIs.
  • Protect your device, Telegram account, vault sync password, and SSH credentials.
  • You are solely responsible for actions performed through SSH sessions from your device.

6. Disclaimer

The App and sync service are provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for loss of data, unauthorized access to your servers, or damages arising from SSH use, except where prohibited by law.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
